VMO Press Release: VMO 9th Annual Chamber Orchestra Concert

VANCOUVER METROPOLITAN ORCHESTRA SOCIETY OPENS THE 2011-2012 SEASON WITH 9TH ORCHESTRA FALL CONCERT

Vancouver, BC. The Vancouver Metropolitan Orchestra will open its 2011-2012 Season with its 9th Orchestra Fall Concert. The opening concert of this season will feature Maestro Ken Hsieh with Vancouver’s rising soprano, Shannon Chan-Kent and rising violinist, Esther Hwang. Shannon will be performing great works by Mozart and Verdi and Esther will be performing great pieces by Beethoven and Saint-saens. The Orchestra will also perform works by Mozart, Haydn, Mendelssohn as well as a brand new commission work by Composer-in-residence Alain Maynard.
