Christopher Chan-Wook Lee

Assistant Conductor

Born in Seoul, Korea, Christopher Chan-Wook Lee showed talents in classical music since the young age. He enrolled Sun-Hwa Arts high school in 1996 where he further trained his piano skills. After getting accepted to the Korean National University of Arts (K-Arts) as the sole conducting major student, Chris received a full scholarship from K-Arts in 2007. He also conducted Verdi’s opera, “Rigoletto”, in the K-Arts Festival. Chris was appointed conductor of the main concert and performed compositions of the main guest composer, Chou Wen-Chung, at The “Nong Project” a new music festival comprised of 12 international universities from Asia and North America. After Chris moved to Vancouver, and he has been working as an assistant conductor of Vancouver Metropolitan Orchestra since 2010.
