Violinist - Arranger - Composer​

A graduate of Yale University, Mark Ferris is the Concertmaster of the Vancouver Opera Orchestra and spent 17 years with the acclaimed CBC Radio Orchestra. He was Concertmaster of the Lions Gate Sinfonia for 7 years and is currently Concertmaster and mentor for the Vancouver Metropolitan Orchestra. 

Since 2011 he has been a frequent coach of the UBC Orchestra.

He has played on, arranged music for or been featured on dozens of successful recordings, including 2 Juno Award winning albums by the CBC Radio Orchestra and Phil Dwyer. His choral and orchestral arrangements have been featured in a decade of Spirit Alive concerts at the Chan Centre, Gala concerts at the Bell Performing Arts Centre and more . Mark is a founding member and composer for the Yaletown String Quartet’
